Comparison

Echo Booking vs Arini

By Alex Le, Echo product teamUpdated July 2026

Arini is a dental-only AI receptionist for groups and DSOs, integrating with Open Dental, Eaglesoft, and Denticon over voice and text. Echo Booking covers the same dental front desk but adds channels Arini does not state (email and intake forms), 70+ languages against Arini's English-only, insurance verification before the visit (beta), and support for mixed medical-dental groups.

Practices comparing these two are usually dental groups that have decided an answering service is not enough and want the appointment actually booked. Both vendors clear that bar. The decision tends to turn on three things: whether your practice management system is on each vendor's live list, whether you need channels beyond voice and text, and whether your patient population needs a language other than English.

How to read this. Echo Booking publishes this page and is one of the products in it. Every competitor claim was read from that vendor's own website and carries the date it was verified, listed at the bottom. These are stated capabilities, not a ranking, a rating, or a test result, and vendors change what they publish, so confirm anything decision-critical directly with them.

The recommendation

Which one to choose

Choose Arini if…

  • Your practice runs on Eaglesoft or Denticon and you need two-way write-back today. Arini states both; Echo's Eaglesoft integration is in progress and it does not integrate Denticon at all.
  • You are a dental-only group and you would rather buy from a vendor that does nothing else, with a product roadmap that will never be split across medical specialties.
  • Voice and text are genuinely the only channels you care about, and your patient population is English-speaking.

Choose Echo Booking if…

  • You need email and web intake forms handled by the same agent, not just the phone and texts.
  • A meaningful share of your patients speak something other than English. Echo handles the full scheduling and coverage conversation in 70+ languages; Arini advertises none.
  • You want coverage checked before the visit rather than discussed on the call. Echo runs an eligibility and benefits check as part of booking (beta).
  • You are a mixed medical-dental group, or a DSO that has acquired medical alongside dental, and you would rather not run two vendors.
  • You want to see the price before you take the demo.

For the record

What Arini states about itself

Every line below was read from Arini's own website on the date shown, and is left in its own terms. What the site does not state is recorded as plainly as what it does, because a silence on a marketing page is evidence about the page rather than about the product: treat the right-hand column as questions to put to Arini, not as verdicts.

Arini, in its own words

What the site states

  • Purpose-built for dental groups and DSOs in the US and Canada: new-patient calls, hygiene recall, reschedules, and emergency triage.
  • Connects to Open Dental, Eaglesoft, and Denticon, reading live operatory and provider availability.
  • Answers calls and texts around the clock, including the after-hours and weekend windows when most missed dental calls happen.
  • States it is 100% HIPAA compliant, with encryption protocols and a public trust center.

What it does not state

  • Voice and text only: email and paperless intake forms still fall to staff.
  • No multilingual support advertised.
  • Dental-only, so it isn't a fit for medical specialties or mixed medical-dental groups.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Scope. Arini is dental-only and covers voice and text; Echo covers dental and medical practices across calls, texts, email, and web intake forms, in 70+ languages, and checks insurance eligibility before the visit (beta). Where Arini is ahead for some practices is its stated Eaglesoft and Denticon integrations, which Echo does not match today.

Arini's site names Open Dental, Eaglesoft, and Denticon. Dentrix is not among the systems it lists on the page reviewed, so it is worth confirming directly with them. Echo has a live two-way Dentrix integration alongside Open Dental and Dentrix Ascend.

Arini advertises no multilingual support on its site. For a practice with a significant Spanish-speaking patient base this is the sharpest difference between the two: Echo conducts the full scheduling, insurance, and recall conversation in 70+ languages on the same line.

Echo runs an eligibility and benefits check as part of booking, currently in beta and expanding across payers and plan types. Arini does not state insurance eligibility verification on its site. Both can discuss insurance with a caller; checking it is the distinction, and it is worth testing in either demo.

Yes, it is explicitly built for dental groups and DSOs and states support across the US and Canada. The question for a group is usually whether every location's PMS is on the list, and whether the group has acquired any medical practices, since Arini is dental-only and Echo is not.

Every Arini claim here was read from arini.ai and carries the verification date shown at the bottom of this page. Vendors change what they publish, so if you are making a decision on one of these points, confirm it in the demo rather than taking either vendor's comparison page as final, including this one.
