What is Dental membership plan?

A dental membership plan is an in-house subscription a practice sells directly to uninsured patients, typically covering preventive visits and offering a discount on other treatment for an annual or monthly fee. There is no insurer involved.

Membership plans exist because roughly a quarter of the adult population has no dental benefits, and 'we don't take your insurance' ends a phone call that a membership offer can save. They matter to the front desk because the answer to a coverage question becomes a sales conversation rather than a dead end.

An AI receptionist can only help here if it has been configured with the plan's actual terms and price, so it can explain the option accurately on the call that would otherwise have been lost.
